Problem Statement¶
This analysis proposes a theoretical framework for understanding vadocs not just as a validation tool, but as a structural type checker for documentation. By drawing an analogy with the Lean theorem prover, we show that a well-defined document type interface is equivalent to a mathematical type.
The central claim is that a document is “correct” if it can be successfully “typed” according to its specified interface. Validation errors in vadocs are analogous to type errors in a compiler — they indicate a structural mismatch between the intended interface and the actual content.
This perspective shifts the focus from “checking rules” to “verifying structural correctness”, providing a more robust foundation for automated documentation governance.
